MultiTech TBS-7900
This is a great-looking ghettoblaster that looks like it could be an AKA of a Sharp GF-9494, but it isn't.......it doesn't share any parts whatsoever. In fact it is unknown who manufactured it. All we know is that it was made in Japan. The speakers were made by Sanyo. But the autoreverse switches look like Toshiba parts.
There are several AKA's of this model, including the Palladium 494-968, the Clairtone 7975, the Trident CX-457F, and the General Shop CX-457F.
It is 54cm long, 12cm deep, 32cm tall (38cm with the handle up). It weighs 6.1 kg. It has a funny "Big Power" badge, and another that says 18 Watts. It can go reasonably loud, but there isn't much bass at low volume levels.
It has a strange "Battery Saving" button which acts like "inverse loudness". When you press it, the volume drops by more than half.
It has Aux jacks, so you can connect an MP3 player, but you will need to press Record on the tape deck. You can prevent the motor from running by inserting a plug into the Remote jacks.
The tape deck is a common flaw of this model. The belt tension must be absolutely correct. If it is properly functioning, it can record both sides of a tape indefinitely. For more info click here: http://www.stereo2go.com/topic/trident-cx-457f
